Halt Fake Tracker Hub is an initiative of the Centre for Media and Society (CEMESO) and is funded by the EUSDGN II project. The initiative is aimed at ensuring that voters have access to accurate information to make informed decisions. The goal is to build a society in which accurate information is widely available and misinformation effectively mitigated, leading to a more informed and peaceful community.
The Centre for Media and Society (CEMESO), is currently implementing the Support to Media component under the European Union Support to Democratic Governance (EU-SDGN II) project, which objective is that the media provide fair, accurate, and ethical coverage of the electoral process. The activity among other objectives sought to ensure that media professionals’ capacity to deal with electoral misinformation/disinformation is strengthened, to safeguard the peace of our country and encourage the promotion of mutual understanding across every section of the society.
One of the key areas of focus for Tracker Hub is the electoral process. We believe that misinformation and disinformation can significantly impact the outcome of elections, and it is important to ensure that voters have access to accurate information to make informed decisions.
The Tracker Hub is to raise awareness about the potential impact of false information on the electoral process. We work with media organizations and journalists, in raising awareness about the impact of false information on society.
