“The premises of the National Assembly resembled a war zone this morning as operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) took over, fueling rumors of an impending impeachment move against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Also, it was spotted on Facebook about 19 hours ago as of the time of filing this report. It was posted on Edo political forum, by a user, Ekigbo Sampson Nnamadi , with the caption: Tension As DSS Take Over National Assembly Over Plot To Impeach Akpabio
Verification:
During the Senate plenary session on Wednesday, as the news spread, Akpabio raised alarm on the viral claims of his alleged impeachment.
Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio stressed that ” there is no such thing. Plenary is going on smoothly”.
The Senate therefore referred the matter to the Committee on special duties to investigate and report back to the Senate as soon as possible.
