On Tuesday, November 25 2025, reports claiming that the Government of Abia State under the leadership of Governor Alex Otti, sealed the campaign office of President Bola Tinubu emerged online.
This information spread like wildfire and sooner than later, it was shared on several platforms, blogs, etc. But the question begging for an answer remains; Did the government of Abia State seal President Tinubu’s campaign office?
Let’s find out!!!
The Claim
This information was first reported by LindaIkejiblog with the title; “Abia Govt seals President Tinubu’s campaign office in Umuahia”.
The post reads in part: “The Abia state government today November 25 sealed a campaign office belonging to President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Partners (RHP) in Umuahia, the state capital”.
The Renewed Hope Partners is the campaign structure for the President, being promoted across the South East zone by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu.
Information pasted on the walls at the entrance to the office located at Ojike Street, Umuahia, by the Ministry of Lands and Housing stated that the property was in contravention of the state’s tax law.
“Ministry of Lands and Housing. This property is in contravention of Sections 41 and 100 of the Abia State Tax Law (Codification and Consolidation), Law No. 7 of 2020. And it’s here by sealed.”

LindaIkejiblog also shared this post via Instagram. The post was accompanied by a video of the sealed property.
This information was also published here, here, here, here, here, to mention a few.
Verification
True, a property linked to President Bola Tinubu’s government was sealed in the state as recorded earlier.
However, contrary to the headlines, the sealed property belonged to the Renewed Hope Partners (RHP) founded by Hon Benjamin.
We did some digging to determine if Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Partners (RHP) office is the same as his campaign office. Here’s what we found.
First, we visited the RHP website. Here, we can confirm what the RHP really represents.
According to the website, “Renewed Hope Partners (RHP) is a national engagement platform founded by Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu CFR to serve as a centralised platform for individuals and organisations supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to officially partner, actively participate and support the vision for national growth in the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Following the massive 20,000-person physical inauguration of the Renewed Hope Partners (RHP) in Bende, Abia State, the Renewed Hope movement has grown into a grassroots-driven national platform starting from the South-East.”

Key points to note: The platform was founded by Benjamin Kalu not the president.
It is a centralised platform for individuals and organisations supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to officially partner, actively participate and support the vision.
Visit RHP Website here.
Another important question is; was it the RHP that handled Bola Tinubu’s campaign in 2023? The answer is No.
The 2023 election campaign was handled by; TINUBU/SHETTIMA 2023 PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL (PCC), with an operational National Secretariat (Buhari House), at 40 Blantyre Street, Wuse II, Abuja, Nigeria.

Also, we took our time to watch the one-minute-27-seconds video clip that went viral and we also found some very important info.
In the video, the voice, clearly that of a man, repeatedly said and emphasised that the office was that of the Renewed Hope Partners (RHP) and not President Tinubu’s campaign office as widely reported.
Watch video here.
Conclusion
It has been established that an office was sealed, the office of the Renewed Hope Partners.
There are no public records linking the Renewed Hope Partners to President Bola Tinubu’s campaigns.
The activities of these two bodies are very different.
While reports of the closure is true, we can conclude that the headlines making the rounds; “Abia Govt Seals Tinubu’s Campaign Office In Umuahia”, is misleading.
